Porcupine Hunting

These porcupine photos were all taken at Dankorama Bow Hunting Farm in Gauteng. In the first hunting season it was unclear whether the hunt of porcupine is legal. As all the porcupine photos show there is an abundance of porcupine at Dankorama. I believe the demand for porcupine hunting will rapidly increase, as soon as 2017. Gauteng Nature Concervation confirmed that the porcupine are concidered rodents and are therefore legal to hunt. In these porcupine photos it is clear that Dankorama Bow Hunting Farm has many porcupines and they are very large. What seems to be the dominant male is almost as big as a tractor tyre. Hunting porcupine would be the latest addition to Dankorama Hunting.

Porcupine are nocturnal animals and the hunt will take place during the night.

IT IS SAID THAT PORCUPINE MEAT IS VERY TASTEFULL BUT I YET HAVE TO TEST IT!

The mistake previous hunters made is that as seen on the photos there body size is less than a third of the total size when there pins are erect. Therefore in order to hunt a porcupine the hunter must remember to aim low!
